Thank you for the compliment! A lot of what I would say the essence of painting in a surrealistic style is, is not painting from what something is but from your perception of it ( one could easily argue all art is this; however, I would like to make the distinction from where your mind is drawing it's information). This is why I do not use photo references in my surreal work. It takes time to develop but it has an interesting result. Thanks for viewing!
